Vanessa Wiegel will share how her team at Motional approaches the topic of accessibility, and leverages user research to better design autonomous taxis for users with a variety of physical, sensory, and cognitive disabilities. She will provide tips on how you can begin practicing inclusive design in your own organizations.

Speaker Bio: Vanessa Wiegel is the Sr. Director of Research and Design for Motional, where she leads user and human factors research, UX design, industrial design, and prototyping. Prior to joining Motional, Vanessa founded and led the design research team at iRobot, in addition to spending nearly a decade developing engaging and usable digital media (e.g. mobile apps, websites, games) for PBS. Vanessa has a Masters in Human Factors from Bentley University, and serves as a member of Bentley's industry advisory board. She enjoys mentoring junior researchers and designers, and contributing to UX research and design learning and development platforms such as Learners and People Nerds.
