As product professionals, we spend a lot of time outlining, refining, and building the product vision. We set the direction for the product and sometimes even the company. We visually articulate our thinking into the product roadmaps. We communicate with our audience, helping them understand why they should care and why it all matters.

But what about our own careers? Shouldn't we have a career roadmap and an interview roadmap? Absolutely! We need a roadmap that provides a sense of purpose and helps us maintain a steady course during the interview.

Gaurav Dhy is currently the director of customer success at Salt Security. An API Security unicorn based out of Silicon Valley. Until recently, he was an integral part of the product team and reported to the chief product officer at Salt. Gaurav's functional experience spans Cyber security, MarTech, Financial services legal and compliance, private equity, and the telecommunications industry. He has worked in and led teams in diverse areas such as customer success, product, support, delivery, account management, presales, sales, and marketing. As the founding member of the customer success department at Salt security, he had the privilege to build and grow the team from its inception. In his private capacity, Gaurav has also done strategic consulting for companies in the technology space, such as hospitality and purely web-based businesses.
